1. Information Orion handles

Orion handles information you choose to provide, including:

• Account information: your name, email address, authentication records, preferences, and account status.
• Financial planning information: manually entered transactions, paychecks, budgets, account balances, debts, goals, investment assumptions, dates, and notes.
• Billing information: your plan, billing interval, subscription status, and Stripe customer or subscription identifiers. Orion does not receive or store your complete payment-card number.
• Essential technical information: hosting, authentication, and security providers may process IP address, browser or device information, request timestamps, session cookies, and diagnostic records needed to keep the service available and secure.

2. How information is used

Information is used to provide and secure your workspace, calculate the budgets and projections you request, authenticate your account, process subscriptions, respond to support or data requests, diagnose service problems, and meet legal obligations.

Orion does not sell personal information, run advertisements, or build advertising profiles from your financial data.

3. Service providers

Orion relies on a small set of service providers that process information only as needed to deliver their services:

• Supabase provides authentication and the PostgreSQL database that stores account and planning data.
• Stripe processes subscription payments and hosts checkout and billing-management pages.
• Vercel hosts the Orion application and may process operational and security logs.

These providers maintain their own privacy and security terms. Orion may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transfer with appropriate notice and safeguards.

4. Cookies and tracking

Orion uses essential cookies and similar storage for sign-in, session refresh, security, and core preferences. Orion does not use advertising cookies or third-party behavioral advertising. Payment pages operated by Stripe may use technologies described in Stripe’s own policies.

5. Data retention and deletion

Your active workspace is retained while your account remains open. Downgrading from Premium to Free does not delete your financial history. Some billing, security, backup, or legal records may remain for a limited period after an account is closed when reasonably necessary or required by law.

To request account access, correction, export, or deletion, visit Support. Because Orion does not yet offer self-service account deletion, requests are verified before action is taken.

6. Security

Orion uses access controls, encrypted network connections, restricted database roles, and row-level security designed to keep each user’s records separate. No online service can promise absolute security, so use a unique password and notify Orion promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

7. Children and international use

Orion is intended for adults and is not directed to anyone under 18. The service is operated in the United States, and information may be processed in the United States or other locations where Orion’s service providers operate.

8. Changes and contact

This policy may be updated as Orion changes. Material updates will be identified by a new effective date and, when appropriate, an in-product notice.
