A clear agreement for a calm product.

1. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding agreement to use Orion. Provide accurate account information, protect your password, and promptly report suspected unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity conducted through your account.

2. What Orion provides

Orion is a manual financial-planning and recordkeeping tool. Features can include transaction entry, paycheck and monthly budgets, account and net-worth tracking, debt payoff estimates, emergency-fund planning, goals, and investment projections.

3. Trial, Free, and Premium

• 14-day trial: new accounts receive temporary access to Premium features without providing a credit card. The trial does not convert into a charge automatically.
• Free: when the trial ends, an account that has not purchased Premium moves to the Free tier. Existing data is not deleted solely because a trial ends or a plan is downgraded.
• Premium: Premium is offered at the price and billing interval shown before checkout. A paid subscription begins when checkout is completed and automatically renews monthly or annually until canceled.

Prices, taxes, and included features may change prospectively. Orion will provide notice when required, and a change will not alter charges already paid for the current billing period.

4. Billing, cancellation, and refunds

Stripe processes payments. By purchasing Premium, you authorize the displayed recurring charge and applicable taxes. You can cancel online from Orion’s Manage billing button. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period, and your account then moves to the available Free tier.

Payments are non-refundable and are not prorated for unused time, except when required by law or when Orion decides a refund is appropriate for a billing error. See the Cancellation & Refund Policy for practical steps.

5. Acceptable use

Do not misuse Orion, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with the service, upload malicious code, probe security controls without written permission, use the service to violate law or another person’s rights, or resell or reverse engineer the service except where law expressly permits. Orion may limit or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, or legal compliance.

6. Your content and Orion’s materials

You retain ownership of the information you enter. You grant Orion the limited permission needed to host, process, back up, and display that information solely to operate and improve the service. Orion’s software, branding, design, and original content remain protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

7. Availability and changes

Orion may improve, add, remove, or limit features and may experience downtime. Reasonable care is taken to preserve user data, but you should keep independent records of information that is critical to you. Orion may discontinue the service with reasonable notice when practicable.

8. Disclaimers and limits

To the extent permitted by law, Orion is provided “as is” and “as available” without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. To the extent permitted by law, Orion Budget and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, lost profits, or financial decisions made using the service.

Where liability cannot be excluded, aggregate liability related to the service will not exceed the amount you paid Orion during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law.

9. Ending use and changes to these terms

You may stop using Orion at any time. Canceling Premium does not itself delete your account. Orion may update these terms as the product or law changes; material changes will be identified by a new effective date and, when appropriate, an in-product notice. Continued use after an update takes effect means you accept the revised terms.
